Because of some unique laws in Hawaii, bodycam in the state is notoriously difficult to obtain. A big thank you to the team behind the scenes that worked incredibly hard to get this.
UPDATE: We have since received news that this officer was able to return to work!

Two years? And the officer's life changed for ever 😔
Black
Defund the police
Demonic possession is real. I mustve watched 1000 of these bodycam videos. there is no way is just people going mental for 5 mins then back to normal
Looks like they ran into each other, how is that assault
Sorry that ended an officer’s career but that was a B.S. assault on L.E.O. charge ! The body cam footage clearly shows both of em just bump into each other ! Which is why he was so quick to go to trial and why the D.A. offered him a plea deal on the day of trial because the D.A. knew that charge was weak and just wanted a conviction which is why he did less than two years !
nice headbutt
What I find incredible is that the other officers supporting the injured officer did not appear to know basic first aid! Letting the injured officer lift his head and look around, making him move body parts to remove clothing instead of cutting it off, and jo one put him in a c-spine recovery position to hold his neck and head still and stable.. after many witnessed an obvious head and face injury to the officer.
I really hope that this is abnormal for police officers because they are often responding to incidents in which serious injuries happen.
9:56 Subtitle correction for the inaudible word. He said "I gotta turn my camera off. HIPAA." The inaudible word is HIPAA. It is an abbreviation for Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
Hawaii judges…
gong show department
the part where they reach the hospital I can understand what they're saying.
the suspect is saying "nonono"
and the officer saying he has to turn off his camera, the "indistinct" is him saying "HIPAA"
I dunno why, but looking at the cop cars and my brain just instantly noticed the very iconic shape of the cop car and went "Crown VIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIC"
Shaun hit the Jackpot that night.
Never go to Hawaii is what I got from this, they need to do better.
He should be locked up for the rest of his life.
Stay safe officers 💯.
5:05 I would ask how many cops it takes to screw in a lightbulb but I’m afraid the bulb will catch a resisting charge.
Im so sick of cops saying "stop resisting" when they have him twisted and dog piled!! They applied maximum torture because its a COP!!!
Less than 2 years for causing permanent disability 😒
How many cops does it take to handcuff a criminal
You know I don't understand why you just don't take him down with the Taser
4:35 “hey Shaun, how we doing?” “Peachy!”
