First thing Tuesday morning, the state and defense attorneys discussed Taylor Schabusiness’ drug use before calling witnesses to testify. The attorneys both agreed Schabusiness has been an avid methamphetamine user  and most likely  that’s impacted her brain activity and behavior. Schabusiness is on trial for the murder of her lover, Shad Thyrion. She’s accused of strangling and sexually assaulting him, then cutting off his head.

This case is so disturbing. Of course she has a mental defect, that kept her from conforming to the law; but not legally apparently. I keep thinking through the mother finding her son's head in a bucket; how horrifying. The mitigating circumstances in this case call for something extra… but what? There is no appropriate justice for this situation.
