A Florida jury found Manuel Marin, the co-founder of Presidente Supermarkets, guilty of manslaughter, conspiracy to commit kidnapping, and kidnapping charges on Thursday. Marin was convicted of organizing a plot with three men to kill another local businessman, Camilo Salazar, who was murdered in 2011. Marin’s then-wife was cheating on the supermarket mogul with Salazar, prompting his revenge plan. Marin’s accomplices, Roberto Isaac, Ariel Gandulla, and Alexis Vila Perdomo, were previously found guilty of their role in the killing, with Gandulla taking a plea deal. Marin faces a sentence of up to life in prison for his role in the murder conspiracy.
