Why is it only when kids are involved it becomes dire? You can make another kid, there's a woman out there with decades of life who pays taxes with decades of experience and they're freaking out over the useless to society kid? You can literally just make another and it's young af so it's not like you have more of a bond with it than you could with like a parrot or lizard if it was your pet at this point. Or the dozens and dozens who will be negatively affected if the mother was to pass, but the maybe 2-3 if the child passes?
