  1. technically what happened was the cop got aggressive first cause he thought the suspect was pulling away when in actuality the suspect was taking a step back because the cop mentioned the girl behind him. from there the situation escalated.

  2. They can't use chemical weapons on civilians and then cry and call felony when they get it back. The sprayed pig's aggression, the threats, "he's so lucky I didn't kill him" etc.
A good defense could paint this cop as a violent sociopath just waiting for a confrontation, and the civilian merely confused and defending himself.

  3. Why do they not use milk for the peper spray? It helps way more than water. I had a buddy who used some crazy hot sauce and stuck his finger in his eye. Milk was the way.

  4. J&&sus … poor officer … why are they not giving him an entire case of water !!!! .., come on …and towels ? I mean REALLY ??? I was just going to say , milk is a good counter to the sting …

  5. Whoa, what state is this in? Usually, shoplifters have to have exited the store before being arrested; they hadn’t even exited yet! I’m surprised, because legally they could claim they were still going to pay, from a law perspective…
Also, if he didn’t push the buggy out, if I were his lawyer, I would’ve gotten that tossed based on the fact he didn’t take anything out of the store, and he hadn’t even exited yet, but mainly that the girl was the one with the cart, and he was in front of her so even if he had put stuff in the cart, he could claim that he thought she put the cart away, that he didn’t know she was taking it out… idk, lol, just surprised to see this! Normally they’re lenient on shopp

  6. "I'm a POS, I'm so sorry" does he think saying this will make them let him go?
Also the "I was forced to do this" is SUCH a weak excuse.
He chose to do this. Now he gets to suffer the consequences.

  7. milk is smart to ask for, its pretty neutralizing. people drink it when they have heartburn.
i would have enjoyed if it ended with the walmart employee guiding the officer living happily ever after. the end

  8. If you ever want to feel what pepper spray feels like:
Turn on your oven to 400 degrees F.
Wait for it to come to temperature, then open the door and put your face as close as you can to the heat without actually burning yourself.
Hold as long as you can, then close the door. That moment of relief you feel at closing the door, is what the water/milk feels like on your face.
Now, reopen the door and continue this process for the next 8 hours.
tldr: Pepper spray sucks for all involved.
