The stepfather playing the two sisters against each other and removing Angelique from their shared bedroom over Monique's alleged bad influence in addition to all the other stuff mentioned/implied, screams to me he wanted the privacy to sexually abuse Monique. He's probably the one who got her pregnant in the first place. After the abortion (and possible more abuse, maybe even another pregnancy scare) she threatened to tell on him and so he told the wife to take the other kids on a trip so he could get rid of her.

Very simple. The step 'dad' killed her; mom covered it up with him. After she mentioned they had nothing of hers anymore, come on that is so obvious what happened. They got rid of everything and evidence.

both my parents were in the military. both complete and utter nutcases. completely fucked, no concept of reality, zero compassion, zero understand, and enough physical and emotional abuse to nourish an entire country. still love them though and glad i was given the gift of forgiveness. i mention this as a statement against extreme military presence. it's screws people up.
