20. I don’t understand why people blindly agree that shooting a k9 dog is inherently a bad thing or wrong. Most police forces use shepherds as their “drug dog” which easily have the ability to maul or do fatal injuries. It can easily be argued self defense if the dog is the aggressor and doing significant bodily harm. A dog doesn’t always have the ability to recognize that they could possibly kill someone that they are attacking. So my question is why is it ok for police forces to use a specific breed of dog that is an aggressive and dangerous breed to attack people who are fleeing, and then the cops and everyone else acts so surprised or offended when someone is basically defending themselves from a wolf sized dog that is in the act of mauling them or potentially killing them?? And before you get butt hurt or try to straw man me, read my questions and at least give a reasonable rebuttal instead of some boot licking offended statements that have nothing to do with my questions.

24. 35, and life is thrown away. There are so many opportunities in America, but some choose to throw their lives away. They choose to hurt as many people as possible in the process. I am so thankful that the officers, including K9 Riggs are okay. It still breaks my heart that people died and K9 Riggs was shot. Hopefully he will get 70 years in Wisconsin and life in Illinois. He should never be able to physically hurt anyone on the outside of prison ever again.

27. First time I heard of this case. While watching I was thinking the man I was focused on was the convict and he looked like he'd just crawled out from under a rock. Then I realize he's actually the lawyer and the convict is the civil looking, and awake, person sitting beside him. Actually kind of funny.

30. I'm not a fan of these laws that make k9 dogs equal to killing of people. I'm a dog lover and have had many dogs but police K9's are not humans should not be treated the same. Recently there was an incident in Arizona where a police K9 was running lose in a neighborhood bit a man almost lost his hand. The police reaction was to collect the dog and never be heard from again. If that had been a person that person would have been charged with ageraved assault. There been other incidents where police K9's were searching for someone and found an old lady bit up again nothing was done they were just told "So sorry". I saw a case in another state where a man got 30 years in prison for shooting a police K9. I'm not defending him but 30 freaking years for shooting a dog?? Police shoot dogs all the time lot of those times it's in private yards of people they jumped the fence without a warrant.
