In Johannesburg, violence is not only constant: it’s everywhere. With twenty murders a day, South Africa’s biggest city operates under the shadow of lethal score-settling between gangs that control the slums. For example, in the northern township of Diepsloot, there have been recordings of up to 16 murders a month in an area so poor that toilets and taps must be shared across several different households. The notorious ‘Die Hard Boys’ gang raid the township and surrounding areas in order to fund their heroin enterprise. Since the police rarely patrol these parts of the city, militant citizens have taken up arms in a fight for justice, adding fuel to the flame in a country where firearms can be sold for only a few hundred euros.

Us Aussies dont no how lucky we are as we get close to $1000 every single 2 weeks n that is every single unemployed person under t5he age of 65 i think it is as the ones older get around 1500 dollars a fortnight..
