Chihuahua in Mexico. A city of one million inhabitants spread out across the desert a few dozen kilometres from the American border. Here there are no skyscrapers or large imperial boulevards, but rather small houses and streets drawn out in straight lines. Nothing about Chihuahua appears luxurious.
At first glance, Chihuahua looks like a large, quiet town. However, behind this unassuming façade hides one of the most dangerous cities in Mexico. Corruption, murder and trafficking of all kinds undermine the lives of those living in this city. Like almost every day, the police is called to intervene at a scene in the poorer outer suburbs. The case we saw: four individuals, including a sixteen-year-old girl who had just been murdered in cold blood.
This documentary was produced by Keep Shooting and directed by Guillaume Martin and Grégoire Deniau. It was first released in 2014.
