I’ve done the maths,and if police continue to seize this amount every 5 seconds around the clock for the next decade it will result in losses through death and injury of law enforcement, a similar impact on drug users and many millions of dollars in court and prison costs. It is unlikely to reduce availability of drug but the indexed price of cocaine may temporarily increase by up to 5%. Who said the drug war was a waste of money?
