Please! Everyone needs a dog! A little yappy dog will work! Let them sleep in your kids room. If it doesnt deter them in the first place, they will alert you when someone is coming in! Go adopt a dog from the shelter! It has a slim chance of not working but it worth a shot. My pregnant sister was attacked in her apartment while she was sleeping. I know she would still be alive today if she had gotten a dog, like she wanted..and would have had a chance…instead of being woken up by being hit. She fought hard and almost got away. My child wouldn't have had window availability after the 1st attempt. I always locked up everything, still do. When my children were small, I never positioned their beds near windows (which were locked) as a safety precaution.

My daughter was taken from me by her mother and her new husband when she was 2 years old. The RCMP were waiting. I was broadsided and never imagined as a father I had no rights. And out of so many options and strategies to deploy, only security cameras were installed…. if that happen in my neighborhood, ohh ya, I would do random patrols out and take note of anything suspicious, just acting like I am just jogging around and notify neighbors.
