So just out of curiosity. If a police officer is off duty.. or different county or something.. and they pretend to be an on duty officer for that county could it still be considered impersonating an officer? Or would that be something your precinct would deal with internally? Or is it once a cop always a cop, and as long as you aren't doing anything illegal or malicious you can dress like a cop and tell everyone you are one?
