  1. These cops sure escalated this fast. He is completely chill and they still being crappy to him on top of everything. I really hope he sued over this. These are the kind of cops that makes a lot of people not like police. "Continued resistance"?!!!! what a load of shit. 4 cops with guns drawn for one scared guy trying to listen to different orders from all of them. That right there is what gets the public so pissed about this kind of thing. Mistakes happen, but then when you act like nothing wrong was done, don't acknowledged the mistakes that were made, and blame the victim for your excessive force; that is completely unacceptable. It's not just a complete lack of accountability but it shows zero self awareness or concern for those they are supposed to be protecting. I appreciate and respect officers, but the fact that some downplay their mistakes and make excuses for one another is why so much of the public has a bad image of them. They came across as little more than bullies in this and the chiefs response was shity

  2. Police that are too scared to do their job, and I understand it's a dangerous job, but these are panicky police officers that overreact instead of properly assessing a situation. These people should not be police ever.

  3. I hope he gets a bundle. There are videos of guys running with guns that are treated better than this guy. The guy "running the scene" seemed to be putting on a show for his "buds". Female cop, he walked back. If you're that paranoid, get a different job. Look it up. The police chief's wife filed a lawsuit against the police also. Nice place to stay away from.

  4. Yet again, a flimsy and pathetic attempt at justification and apology for behaviour that is simply unacceptable. Even the conversation between the two officers before they take him back to his car is nothing more than damage control – or at least an attempt at it.👎

  5. 100% deserved lawsuit. I get being nervous when you see him reaching around, but everything about how it was handled was excessive force; clear as day. This is why this insane "everyone wants to kill you and they will if you let your guard down for even a second" warrior training they go through is overkill and it needs to stop.

  6. This sucks for everyone. It’s hard to blame the guy for being paranoid. I’ve been pulled over by a big police car, which was some young adults asking for money for a crime that they made up. I was 17, so I was freaking out until I called them out. Then they left.

  7. At least Mr Cuyper was able to file civil suits against the department and the officer who tased him was found guilty of violating his constitutional rights. He’s still fighting the other officers, but it seems like he may get the justice he rightfully deserves.

  8. Every single cop involved here should be fired and lose his pension. These people have no business being police officers. We all know they will face ZERO accountability. I would not have been so respectful.

  9. I've seen videos where the suspect is fighting, spitting, kicking, etc, and they didn't get tazed. This kid got tazed while he was facing the other way, and his hands were in the air! Now he has PTSD for the rest of his life. And cops wonder why we civilians dont feel safe around them–prime example right here.

  10. Damn they Deff over reacted on this guy. I hope he’s paid well for this bullshit. And of course the chief sees no wrong. You knows it’s bad when the one cop is questioning whst took place and suggests avoiding the courts Those cops néed to be charged criminally..!!!

  11. I live in a small town and was harassed by the cops for years, at this point I just no longer drive at night time. They will pull you over for no reason and then search your vehicle, every cop is a low life loser!

  12. Cops used to have the ability to actually, you know, subdue people without the need to go all tactical and taze EVERYONE who gives them any grief whatsoever. Now it goes from zero to CALL IN ALL THE BACKUP in about 3 seconds flat.Too much CoD and Black Ops play as children.

  13. Perfect example of some disgusting cops. They started trying to cover this up from the get go because they know they did this guy dirty. Instead of being accountable they tried to sweep it under the rug. The problem with cops is they are never held accountable for their actions.
