That's what this officer does to his wife and kids when he is disrespected. The cop knew she wasn't right, and that's why he took her to the hospital, but he took it upon himself to smack her while handcuffed. I bet he doesn't smack men.

Explain to me as a lawyer why this is not a violation of the 8th amendment as well? Although this is not a judge sentencing him, police do act in the governments interest as judges, not by title but in effect.

The former officer was Sentenced to 1 year and 1 day. Extremely lenient sentence considering he could have received 10 years.
