A police officer managed to free a fawn stuck in a fence before it bounded away. The rescue was captured on Officer Tavis Tannehill’s body camera. Boyne City police were called at 6:18 a.m. on Monday, July 11, on a report of the fawn trapped in the fence in the 200-block of State Street.

Tannehill found the fawn wedged in the corner of the fence and was able to safely lift the fawn and release it without injury, Assistant Chief Kevin Spate said. A resident reported seeing two fawns wandering in the neighborhood for the past week. Another reported seeing the fawn and its mother.

  1. After a evening of back to back screaming, yelling and shooting, I'll call it a night on a good note.
it's 1 am and I'm out. God bBless and stay safe y'all 👍🏼💋

  2. man i wish idiots would stop idolising police officers as heartless being who will shoot when they feel like it. this goes to show how police really help protect this country, and make it better

  3. that moment when you forget to look both ways before crossing the street after rescuing a fawn from a fence, the next moment you've got deer meat! win win!
