36. Dad did him no favors by taking the rap. Son will never learn if he's not held accountable. My mother loved me more than herself but she'd have let me fend for myself in a case like this and remind me that this was a teachable moment and to pay attention. THAT is parenting and love, not what this dad did. Sometimes, if you love your child you have to let them fall down and experience consequences even though it tears your heart and soul to do. It's how we all learn.

Kick me out, keeping everything I had to make my life easy such as a car, additional spending money and whatever else they might have given to me and they would have been right!
