police ego should not outweigh public safety. he was told to stand down, not pursue, but he thought he was bigger and better than that order and the law. pursuing without sirens is so incredibly dangerous especially when pursuing at high speeds and an unpredictable suspect. sirens let citizens know to look out and be more cautious at a moments notice and be more alert and to then to get out of the way for their safety, the officers safety, and for the better chance at catching the guy.
