Bloody feuds and streets littered with rubbish have tarnished Naples’ perfect image. Crimes of all kinds and trafficking are the hallmarks of the Camorra, the Neapolitan mafia, which is the city’s main employer. From the creation of small illegal jobs, such as car park attendants who park scooters for a few euros and work as informants for the mafia, to the lucrative waste disposal market, the mafia has managed to exert its influence over the entire Neapolitan economy. Some residents are fighting back, others are learning to live with it. This is the case with the ‘neomoldici’, popular singers who are often just children. The nemoodici can earn up to €100,000 per year singing the praises of the Camorra. In an attempt to reduce the Mafia empire in the city, Naples has set up its own special police force: ‘the Falchi’, the falcons. Equipped with powerful motorcycles, without helmets or uniforms, they race through the labyrinth of the Neapolitan streets. What are their techniques used to infiltrate the clans? Hidden cameras, concealed microphones… discover how they track down entire neighbourhoods to dismantle the cocaine trafficking organised by the mothers of the Neapolitan Mafia.
