Title is deceiving, hes the mothers latest boyfriend and a "new relationship", not the father. Sounds like the mom and grandparents had a good relationship until this guy (who is on parole and "always tears up their place") showed up. If their son/the kids dad is dead the grandparents should apply for a formal custody agreement.

The officers needed to be charged for excessive force in slamming his mom. That’s crazy. Her parents were dead set on someone getting arrested, granddad should have been charged too for disorderly conduct for running up on this guy. Naturally they both squared up, no assault.
