Detroit Man Exchanges Gunfire With Federal Agents During Escape Attempt

Detroit, Michigan — On November 14, 2025, officers with the Detroit Police Department, working alongside the Michigan State Police and agents from the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives, moved into a residential area on the city’s east side to take a suspect into custody. Investigators believe the suspect was connected to a non-fatal shooting and more than a dozen incidents involving gunfire into homes, vehicles, and neighborhoods over the previous week. When officers moved in, the man fled by car, crashing through lawns and sidewalks and striking a house before authorities disengaged ground units and relied on aerial tracking to limit risk to the public.

The pursuit continued into Livernois Avenue, where police say the suspect attempted multiple crimes, including an attempted carjacking at a gas station and a second carjacking that triggered an exchange of gunfire with federal agents. After fleeing again, state troopers ultimately stopped the vehicle with a tactical maneuver, prompting the suspect to run while still armed. Officers repeatedly ordered him to drop the weapon, and shots were fired as he advanced toward police. The suspect was taken into custody and given medical aid at the scene, and a handgun was recovered. The man was taken to an area hospital, where he is currently in critical condition. Federal prosecutors have since indicted 33-year-old Terrance Markyce Davis, on charges including carjacking, assaulting and attempting to murder ATF Special Agents. Authorities say both criminal proceedings and an internal review of the incident are ongoing.

    It is hard to overstate what a criminal like the one in this video presents to society. The only protection we have is lethal force or a very long prison sentence for the perp.

    Where is the Gun?? I have Not see a Gun but the Police is shooting wow!! In germany is this Police Officer a Murder and go to jail 4 this! But in America all Officer shot because of nothing!     Bro I wish 911 operators would just say "okay help is on the way!! now while you wait can I ask you some questions for important information??" instead of just asking a bunch of questions and making the caller think you are just asking questions and help isnt on the way yet >< they always do this!!

    WHAT!? ATF not killing innocent women, children, and dogs? They need to work for another LEA if they're not going to do that & help apprehend actual criminals instead.

    Had the channel done the slightest research before publishing, they would have told us that our perp survived, and 5 days prior to the video going up "was indicted by a federal grand jury for carjacking, assaulting and attempting to murder ATF Special Agents, and weapons offenses…."
    So not only did he burden Detroit health care with the cost of his critical injuries, he went in to burden the entire country with the cost of his prosecution.
    More range time for the involved officers! (Though full credit to them for stepping up to this armed menace, and — more grudgingly — their quick-pivoting first aid skills.)
