Live Q&A: Idaho Student Murders – On The Ground in Moscow with Angenette Levy

LIVE IN MOSCOW: The Law&Crime Network’s Angenette Levy will answer your questions regarding the Idaho student murders LIVE from Moscow, ID with host Jesse Weber and retired FBI agent Bobby Chacon. Watch on YouTube and Facebook on Wednesday from 1-2 p.m. ET.

During the early morning hours of Nov. 13, 2022, University of Idaho students Ethan Chapin, 20, Xana Kernodle, 20, Kaylee Goncalves, and Madison Mogen, 20, were stabbed to death at off-campus housing in the rural college town of Moscow. Details in the case have been few and far between. Local authorities have acknowledged the slow-moving pace of the investigation and recently backed off of previous statements about the extent to which the victims themselves were “targeted” in the disturbing – and exceedingly atypical for the sleepy university community – attack. As the investigation continues, the Law&Crime Network will bring you the latest developments.

  1. Read the testimony of Orthrom labs manager
Oh my goodness you haven’t even studied or read anything about the sheath?
My I suggest that you want a through explanation ,listen to J. Embree explain the documents!
Oh my goodness, I can’t listen to more.
Please watch and listen to J.Embree and then make up your mind, please,
This is our Justice System and our Constitution and this could be you or your family facing a fireing

  2. A simple profile: Enraged male with a large knife. Just as happened in the UK and EU nations over the past few years. Hmmm where would I focus my search? By now the perp could easily have returned to his home country delaying any arrest for months. Start by asking which student/faculty/employee at U of I has left the campus to return to his home overseas? So many questions that have to be centered on Kaylee and Madison's actions prior to the stabbings and along with that would their relationship and closeness as friends be a trigger to someone prone to a culture of honor killings?

  3. I have an issue with the 911 call. The police reported it came in from one of the surviving roommates cell phone. The police reported a very bloody messy crime scene.
The police also reported the 911 call stated an unconscious person they won't wake up.
My issue is if the crime scene was messy you mean to tell me that the living girls in the home and the couple friends they called over to the house did not notice anything except an unconscious person that won't wake up.
I am just not getting that at all.
Oh 1 more thing the one victims dog. No evidence on the dog that it had been near any of the victims. Well any dog I've ever known wants it's owner and will do all it can to get to them. It seems strange the dog was totally clean and did not try to get to the third floor at all where his owner was. Almost as the dog was being held by someone to keep away from crime area.
These are college students and they found the victims then called friends over then called police. Who does that you call the police 1st not have friends over.

  4. The one thing that's bothered me is the killer knew that there was at least what five cars six cars at the home. How is he so sure of himself to get away with it. Also I think the person was in the house that day and left that door unlocked

  5. As a Security Officer I can honestly say searching through camera footage alone can be extremely time consuming. I don't envy investigators that task. I just hope something somewhere picks up this vehicle travelling around Moscow that night

  6. the roommate saw the deceased, made the orginal 9/11 call, ran outside and feinted before she could tell them about the body….someone saw her fall, picked up her phone while outside and told 9/11 that someone (surviving roomate) is unconscious, not knowing that there was a quadruple murder in the house.

  7. lf it's all girls staying at hse, there's could b arguments abt whose food's not labeled etc, that's norm but they don't look like the sort that cooks!Prob someone foll.them home n refused 2leave or perp/perps were already there, waiting 2ambush them!

  8. I wonder if it was someone who hated sororities and fraternities? I hope they're checking to see if anyone was rejected by the Greek system and had a grudge? I say this because when my sister went through pledge week my dad never forgot how extremely upset the girls were who were not accepted into their chosen sororities or at all. It made him regret he'd encouraged my sister to pledge. Fortunately, she got into her 1st choice sorority.

  9. One question I think was over looked is Why was kayle in town? Was it just to visit and show off her car or was she in possession of something or an anticipated event

  10. I'm worried that we may be dealing with an out of town serial killer. I think most people would rather think about it being someone the victims knew because then they get to play Clue. If it is some random serial killer there is very little the public can do or speculate about.. We can't look at footage of friends acquaintances, neighbors or family members and ask ourselves "Hey are they acting hinky? That leaves us feeling powerless and bruises our egos..

I think it's become a real mental block. It's just an ego trip that first tricks us into convincing ourselves that their is a discoverable motive and plenty to go on if we really concentrate when in actuality there may not be. Then before you know it we have convinced ourselves we know the killer is insert name here. I hope it's not a random serial killer because our track record of catching serial murderers is not good. But I refuse to be blinded to the possibility.

  11. OK, I believe they need to look into the hooded guy at the food truck more closely. Yes, the girls left and went around to the left and he left and went straight ahead the opposite way. The hood guy had been standing there for how long in the video talking to the other guy and then as soon as the girls walked around the corner, he left immediately. The hood guy did not stay around long enough to tell the guy he had been talking to for 30 minutes or more like hey, it was nice talking to you or see you around sometime, nothing he just split immediately and did not have time to even give any explanation. Also, when you watch the hooded guy walk away, he looks over to the left to where the girls went and he was walking kind of straight away but you can tell by his walk that he is on a mission Well the girls left me so I guess I’ll go back to my place. He definitely needs to be looked into further.
