The manager of a McDonald’s in Riverside, California called 911, concerned that a guy had been in their bathroom stall for an hour. His name was Peter Villalobos. He was not alleged to have committed any crime.  So how and why did he end up dying in the custody of the Riverside Police Department that morning? The police department apparently is having difficulty figuring it out. Perhaps we can find some clues in the recently released bodycam footage…

  1. Another example of police needing to bully a citizen for being slow to react to their commands. Then they demonstrate that some police officers don't have good common sense to handle a confuse citizen with care, instead they beat him to his death. This is sad. Then we see the investigation before the possible cover up. This is where real leadership in the police department shows an appreciation of the law, or brothers in blue making excuses for their poor training in dealing with impaired citizens.

  2. I have IBS and crohn's disease. I can't imagine being in this situation. I take meds but I have been in his situation where I was in for a while. I always buy something but people need to understand there could be other reasons.

  3. Not a good approach by cop #1 and cop #2 well, he just could not wait to tee off on citizen Peter.

It’s always about their safety, their procedures, handcuffs, etc… What crime did citizen Peter commit? The SS cops just love ❤️ to escalate the situation.

  4. Makes you wonder; What kind of person can't remember their birthday? Perhaps he has cognition issues? Perhaps he has medication issues? Best to beat the shit out of him and dump him off at the hospital. The police are my heroes. Such compassion, thoughtfulness and skill.

  5. Why didn’t 911 dispatch an ambulance as first responders? This was obviously an individual suffering a medical or psychological issue. If police were to be dispatched, then they should have been sent only as support, just in case the situation became violent. I repeat, the police should have been there only in a support role. They should not have been in control or directing the encounter.
The police are guaranteed to make encounters like this worse! Every officer involved in this encounter needs to be jailed for life!

  6. I think it was obvious, even from just watching this footage, that he was in an emotional state of distress and this was handled completely the wrong way. Charges should ensue !
