Newly released body camera footage shows the early stages of investigation in the deadly University of New Mexico shootout. Officials say New Mexico State University power forward Michael Peake was lured onto the UNM campus on November 19. Peake and UNM student Brandon Travis both pulled weapons. Peake was shot and injured, while Travis was pronounced dead on the scene.

Personally, there should be no gun laws or restrictions. Well, within reason, meaning people don't need rocket launchers or grenades for self defense. But, anyone of the age of majority, regardless of criminal record should be allowed to purchase and possess firearms.
Because it doesn't matter if you have a record if your not committing crimes with a gun; nor does it matter if your record is squeaky clean, if you're committing crimes with guns. How many heinous acts of violence have been commited by people with no record and with guns "legally" possessed?
Also, how often are you in the presence of armed "criminals" or a person who's "illegally armed" and are none the wiser?
In other words, no one knows when, where or why anyone will start or end a criminal record 🤔🤔🤔
I know you all may not believe me but Shawn(Peake) Is my older cousin when I heard about this I thought I lost my cousin but when I seen the video I was so glad he was alive hurt but alive I called every hospital in new Mexico just to talk to him and found out that the girl sent him up by saying she was older than 17 and he eventually came outside and as y’all can see what happened I’m just glad my cousin is still alive.
