Accused Idaho student murderer Bryan Kohberger is set to appear in a Pennsylvania court Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. ET for an extradition hearing. Kohberger’s public defender, Jason LaBar, told Law&Crime Network that the Washington State University graduate student plans to waive his extradition hearing to expedite his return to Idaho.

I’m not saying he’s not guilty but our era should be called “trial by media”. Your face and image splashed and plastered across every medium in less than 2 hours and your name is mud. Even before entering the court house. That should deter everyone from ever committing a crime of that magnitude. Outside of it being totally evil and abhorrent.

All media and people interviewed created a narrative that makes Kohberger the prime suspect in the crime. If he has done something right the ignorance of his past mistakes will be taken over by current state.

Is the hearing public?
Imagine the DNA that linked him to the crime was found in the house and NOT on the victims..Lots of people were assumed to be in that house..this guy may be weird an all but what happens if he is not the killer? What if the only link is the car? Just curious here
He was in his first year, and therefore a doctoral student , not a doctoral or PhD candidate yet.
Extremely important to understand that these days, people watch incredible amounts of CSI shows and know the basics of how to leave no evidence, and more importantly. how to place false evidence. Showing that Kohberger has a strong motive is extremely important. DNA is important, but should be corroborated with film and other things like GPS locations.

I'm curious to know if his public defender will also be going to Idaho, and even more curious as to why he picked a public defender in such a high profile case as this one, in the first place🤔
A lot of times defendants will appeal their cases for a new trial based on a public defenders incompetence. Public defenders are primarily used for people that don't have a lot of money, and/or for lower level local crimes such as speeding/DUI/drug dealing, domestic disputes etc., usually not in high profile murder cases.
