According to prosecutor Carli McNeill, antifreeze killer Mark Jensen had an extramarital affair with another woman when he murdered his wife Julie in December 1998. His wife also had an extramarital affair after the birth of their second son.

I don't see how infidelity was even a motive. He married his Mistress! It doesn't make any sense for him to kill the wife so he can be with the mistress when he ended up marrying her anyways!

The sweet taste of antifreeze has been removed I believe I read somewhere, because of cases like this. No one would kill themselves with antifreeze. He murdered her and when he found her alive still, suffocated her. The depression was his only fake alibi. Premeditated!
So it sounds to me like, Julie didn't have the first affair. The boss of those offices was playing hanky panky for years. Julie had a conscience and told him. He got worse and planned her death with no conscience. Throw him back in prison, lock the door and throw away the key this time.

Prisons should only have 1 TV show on repeat over and over. Sesame Street/blue clues Playing all day and all night . That'll rehabilitate them. Should be nationwide in all state prisons.

Even though it is sad and maybe wrong but we need to stop criminalizing, I met somebody else as a reason for divorce. I would die but I wouldn't be murdered and dead forever, I would just feel like it for a while
Why the heck would the prosecutor tell the jury that they have heard of anything to do with this case? Why in the world did she even say that? I mean that seems like a sentence to bring on an appeal right in itself

antifreeze is easily detectable .. what a jerkoff and a rank amateur!. the only two chemicals that are almost undetectable is SUCCININOLE CHOLINE CHLORIDE AND PAVULON. And that is because the testing is so expensive and complicated. The testing is using a GAS Mass Spectrometer and a Phase Extraction Cartridge . Not only that , only two labs in the world conducts this testing : The Lawrence Livermore Laboratory in California and The Carolynska Institute in Sweden. Each test runs 150,000 dollars.
The fact that this guy is getting a retrial in the first place is absurd. What a huge waste of public money.

This trial is a do-over. He doesn’t deserve a second chance, in my opinion.
We need to stop giving criminals hugs, and apologies for punishing them, and start making their punishments so difficult, and painful that bad people will start caring if they get caught, and get some of them to try a way out of marriage other than murder.
