Watch Live: Antifreeze Murder Retrial — WI v. Mark Jensen — Day Four

Mark Jensen was charged in 2002 for the 1998 death of his wife Julie Jensen and convicted in 2008. Prosecutors say he poisoned his wife with antifreeze and then smothered her with a pillow when she wasn’t dying fast enough. In 2013 a federal judge overturned that life sentence, arguing a letter Julie had written before her death shouldn’t have been admitted as evidence. In that letter, Julie wrote that she was afraid her husband would try and kill her. Jensen will now face trial for a second time in January 2023.

Reminder: The defendant, Mark Jensen, is wearing headphones because he’s hard of hearing. Thanks.

  1. Mark Jensen is the very definition of a “ghoul.” In what world of insanity, would you find this man attractive enough to embark upon an affair with? First of all, he was married and second of all, she was engaged. 🤷‍♀️ What kind of a monster purposely tortures and then slowly and painfully murders the mother of his children? The poor boys were there growing up in this mess seeing their mother upset, depressed, sick, you name it… and Mark Jensen enjoyed watching every minute of her pain and suffering. He is a complete psychopathic monster.

  2. 2:54.47 The defense at this point seems bored and like they just no longer care or want to be there. The red head seems a little agitated. Woman sitting next to defense is just kind of staring off, twisting her hair like she is possibly thinking about what she will have for dinner, lol.
As far as the judge, I don't get the impression that he is mean, senile, or bias up to this point. I feel like this judge is old school and knows exactly how he wants his courtroom and this trial conducted. He is not a judge who is going to tolerate grand-standing, showboating, or any disrespect from the attys. He very much has control of his courtroom. I think it may look like he is favoring the prosecution because the defense attys are much younger than himself and the prosecutor. They clearly have years of experience over the defense. These defense attys are obviously not up to par with the prosecution and the knowledge he has of this case, court law, and statutes.

  3. I don’t know, the blonde woman in red annoyed me slightly. It’s like she didn’t want to be there nor did she even WANT to try to remember anything.
I appreciate that most such as myself, wouldn’t remember what we did last Tuesday, but I think if I were meeting a friend(close or not), to check on them and make sure they are okay and they died shortly afterwards, I would DEFINITELY remember a lot from that day and it would stick with me because of the context in which I was speaking to her in the first place.
Seems like this woman begrudgingly went to lunch with Julie but didn’t really want to. But then that’s just my opinion.

  4. Bet he's wishing he didn't redo this trial now… With his ex on the stand going through emails!!! How embarrassing… STILL guilty even if we remove that so called letter that got him this new trial!!

  5. He was gaslighting his wife torturing her for months and in the end tortured her physically before her death The poor neighbors whom tried to help will be scarred for life with what ifs. Truly evil to the core.

  6. Jensen is anti-social and at the very least, a malignant narcissist and likely a psychopath. All of the lawyers seem grossly incompetent. Not a fan of the judge either – rude, crude and a big baby. He doesn't even ask the jury when they come back in the courtroom if they'd talked about the case. So basic, he can't even do that. Jensen's fascination with penises must be penis envy. Julie was cremated against her and her brothers' wishes. Jensen won't gave up the location or disposition.
The guy needs to be tortured slowly and painfully with ethylene glycol with an IV drip.

Best judge ever is Bruce Kyle in FL. He presided over the Teresa Sievers murder trial of her husband Mark, in FL.

  7. Watching Day 4. Even if Jensen was 100% innocent, the defense attorneys have lost this case. They are absolutely awful. You can discredit someone's testimony without talking down to them or beating them up. They are so very unprofessional.
I am trying to keep in mind that the defendant is innocent until proven guilty. The prosecutor is doing a great job and the defense is helping the prosecutor by the way they act. Unbelievable.

  8. There is no way I’d be able to be on that witness stand and NOT give the same attitude back to that smug defence attorney. She’s not even asking questions – she’s making statements – which I get is a tactic but then when they don’t answer her she’s like “was that a yes?” I have yelled at my screen so many times “WAS THAT A QUESTION?”

    😵‍💫

  9. Both Mark and Kelly are despicable human beings. Who cheats on their fiance then right before and after you get married? I feel sorry for her ex and of course very sorry for poor Julie.
