Mark Jensen was charged in 2002 for the 1998 death of his wife Julie Jensen and convicted in 2008. Prosecutors say he poisoned his wife with antifreeze and then smothered her with a pillow when she wasn’t dying fast enough. In 2013 a federal judge overturned that life sentence, arguing a letter Julie had written before her death shouldn’t have been admitted as evidence. In that letter, Julie wrote that she was afraid her husband would try and kill her. Jensen will now face trial for a second time in January 2023.

Once again, the defence manages to waste the time of the court, with objections that are not rightful. It is really getting to be annoying, wish he would get mad again and yell at them, like the other day. That was amusing.

This judge makes some very odd, very questionable decisions.
I don't get why what has made him think that he could go free this time……. All the details about him are so embarrassing for himself. I was just looking for something to listen to and thought it sounded interesting as his last name is Danish or Norwegian. Am Dane. But that guy sure isn't a pretty sight 🙂

There was some shady police work going on. Never took any of the empty glasses that were on the counter just took the one that had some liquid in. And what about the refrigerator that had all kinds of beverages in there. They were never taken to analyze. And then we have the Playboy magazines who the detective was so excited about taking all of them but never took any of the chemicals or looked for antifreeze in the garage. And he seems pretty confident and happy that he did a thorough job! Just sitting here shaking my head!

Around 11:00 – so funny that she's heavily hinting about him giving her money because she messed up on her credit card and instead of offering to help he asks her to give his parents 1000. lol. His way of talking, being so vague, is so annoying. He talks like he writes – in riddles.
I was never if he thinks now that it was worth it. He wanted a quick easy way out, but then the years in jail and she getting scotch free….

Prosecution's case I believe says that Mark J poisoned his wife and when she didn't die, he rolled her over to her face to suffocate. While I believe that Mark did poison Julie and she would have eventually died. I wonder if the prosecutor has taken it too far to claim Mark rolled Julie as this may leave some doubt in jury's mind…the phone was on the floor and the EMS picked it up and put it back on the cradle. Is it possible that Julie was so weak that she was trying to call 911, lost consciousness, dropped the phone and she rolled into the pillow, but too weak to roll over and died (quicker) due to asphyxiation? If some jury members think that Mark didn't asphyxiate Julie, they would just automatically discount the fact that he poisoned her?

This man has tortured his wife for years, over a one night stand. I'm not dismissing that, but what about his affair? I do believe he is quilty of all the changes. I find it weird that this man is so obsessed with D's. Guess he will get "loads" of them in prison!!!

Bothers me giving her so many sleeping pills. Why give during day? It is just sad that she was suspicious of him but because he was “being good†to her she just did what he told her. also helps defense that so many years later can try to impeach witnesses just because can’t remember from over 20 years ago.
Laughable that people are getting on the defense for smiling or laughing. So everyone else in the court room is ok to laugh and joke but not the defense? That's an absolutely asinine opinion.
This judge is opening alot of doors for appeal. The procedure is not correct. You don't put documents or pictures in front of the jury until a witness says they know what they are and the prosecutor continues to put things on the TV in front of the jury and the judge is allowing it. It's mind boggling.
About the Playboy magazines: the detective indicates it with such en emphasis, that there were a lot of them. Do you think that it is because in 1998 Playboy was still seen as something obscene or because of the whole pornography-picture situation at this house?
If it’s the first and it might be, how things have changed in 20 years. What was considered controversial back then is completely normal today.
