Overheated Baby in Stolen Car Rescued by Florida Cops

WATCH: Bodycam footage shows Tampa police officers rescuing an 11-month-old baby found in a stolen car on August 5. Police said the infant was â€œoverheated and lethargicâ€ after sitting in the hot car. According to a report, the baby fully recovered and was reunited with her mother. The officers were given the â€œLife Saving Awardâ€ on Thursday.

I canâ€™t express how horrified I am. Doing that to a baby is unspeakable. Whoever did it should be charged kidnapping and with attempted murder and get sentenced to the maximum time. If they called the police and reported the baby in a locked car at that location, it might be mitigating.

Thanks to the police for their quick action and compassion.

I hope that poor baby is doing well and being well looked after.

I'm in love with the cop who alternated between cooing "you're ok, baby girl" & emphatically stating "good spot boys, good spot!" His kindness and hot arms got me weak ðŸ¥µ

Honestly surprised that the baby was left in the car.

Most car thieves immediately dump the kids on a corner or leave them behind because they don't want endangerment/kidnapping charges

so how was the car taken with the baby inside…most of the time, the neglectful parent leaves the baby in a running unlocked car……the parents need to be criminally charged with child endangerment and denied insurance on any damages to the car.

This is on all the parents that neglect their kids and don't point them in the right direction, they are not raising their children right. Start raising your children the right way and they will have more compassion and humanity. Whoever stole that car was not raised right, and has no compassion whatsoever.

Omg..that precious little one..I'm in tears. Thank you officers for being there for her. I'm a grandma of eight and this hurt my heart. And her poor mother.. I can't imagine how worried she was. I'm so glad lil ones alright..ðŸ˜¥

She wasn't even crying, I can't imagine the pain she was in. The officers did amazing. I love how gentle the one giving her wYer spoke to her. She definitely needed that compassion.
