Watch Live: Antifreeze Murder Retrial — WI v. Mark Jensen — Day Seven

Mark Jensen was charged in 2002 for the 1998 death of his wife Julie Jensen and convicted in 2008. Prosecutors say he poisoned his wife with antifreeze and then smothered her with a pillow when she wasn’t dying fast enough. In 2013 a federal judge overturned that life sentence, arguing a letter Julie had written before her death shouldn’t have been admitted as evidence. In that letter, Julie wrote that she was afraid her husband would try and kill her. Jensen will now face trial for a second time in January 2023.

Reminder: The defendant, Mark Jensen, is wearing headphones because he’s hard of hearing. Thanks.

  1. That poor witness had to endure testifying. Too bad Julie didn't end up with him instead of her psychopathic husband. He sounds like a sweetheart and had nothing but good to say about Julie.

  2. How do the defense attorneys believe Mark Jensen? Has he brainwashed them? How do they sleep at night without their conscience bothering them for defending that monster? Unbelievable.

  3. I just can’t with this atty for the defense. She’s condescending and doesn’t have a case which makes her look ridiculous. Trying to trick the witnesses because she doesn’t have a case or ground to stand on is untruthful and unprofessional in every sense of the word. Disgusting.

  4. These two female defense attorneys are pathetic. They have those phony smiles that smack of deceit, disgust, annoyance and anger. They need to improve their attitude and appearance.

  5. The female defense lawyers behaviour is disgusting. Laughing their heads off loudly during a murder trial of a young mother. The judge should have intervened. It doesn't matter if their client is guilty or not, a person died an horrific death, her family and friends deserve a show of respect from everyone involved 😥

  6. Am I a really horrible person, to be enjoying watching the look on buddy’s face, while the “affair partner” testifies? 🤷🏼‍♀️ Personally, I think it’s the best possible, phuck you!, from the grave, from her, to him!.. 👍🏼

  7. seems like the instruction should have been given to the juror to not share his opinion of the witness with the other jurors. that could be damaging in itself. if he walks back in there and says that guy was a worthless dickbag to his sister, some may put a lot of weight in that.

  8. 7D chess at the end with prosecutor using his history of fraud as actually an indicator of why you can believe he was able to get a confession when nobody could.

  9. so far I have not seen a single proof that the accused is responsible for the death of the wife… only assumptions of the prosecution without proof

  10. I'm on day 7. Looks like the male attorney drew the short straw and has to sit with Jensen. He was not the least bit happy with the interaction between Jensen and the smitten lawyer that was going on around him, prior to beginning the day. Maybe someone is paying attention to the comments about how terrible that situation looks. The defense attorneys are continuing to do a horrible job. Don't they know that juries don't like people that beat up witnesses. I have never seen such an unprofessional group of attorneys. They have ticked the judge off so many times and today was no different. I feel so sorry for the computer guy. I bet some days he really hates his job. I bet he had no desire to see all those pics. Jensen is paying way too much attention to them while the computer guy and his male attorney quickly look away. I pray that I never need a defense team, but if somehow I did, I would fire that group immediately, even if I had to represent myself.

  11. Dear Mr. Jensen’s female attorney (can’t remember your last name), I’m not sure if you are aware that you’re in a court room with cameras and live streaming but your top is falling a little low where your cleavage is bouncing all around on the camera. Unprofessional at best and odd that you are unaware of this. Maybe wear a higher neck top if you are heavier set in the chest area.

  12. I'm really surprised they are allowing the juror to stay on the jury after finding out he knew Dillard and had a prior negative experience with the guy. Very slippery slope.

  13. This judge is an absolute joke. If you want to see bias, just watch this case. I can believe the defense hasn't asked for him to recuse himself.

  14. People saying that Dillard is believable are the exact kinda people who Dillard scams. People who instantly believe what they want to believe, and think that no softly spoken normal looking dude is gonna scam them.

Dillard used fake names to scam women, and told police how he disliked women. I don't think that's gonna go down too well with the juror whose sister was doubtless scammed by him, lol.

  15. I see they replaced the woman that was next to him for a serious male. Kind of obvious no more excited utterances and laughs. Lol oh my look at the cleavage….especially for Markie.

  16. I don’t hear the defense poking holes in the prosecutions case so far…can’t say they haven’t had time to think of how to accomplish this….
