A video taken by Alex Murdaugh’s son shortly before he was murdered on June 7, 2021, was played in court Wednesday. Lieutenant Britt Dove testified that you can hear three different voices in Paul Murdaugh’s video, although the visual focus of the video is a dog’s tail. Prosecutors allege this audio places the disgraced lawyer with his son and wife, Maggie, just hours before they were shot and killed at their South Carolina home.

Alex got emotional because him being a lawyer wasn't smart enough to think there may have been evidence on that phone. He didn't care that he shot his young done twice, the second time blowing his brains out. Didn't care at all. He ended up having a grudge against Maggie and Paul. They were on to him. But not reason enough to shoot them dead. Insurance would have been the bigger pay off.
