Verdict: Antifreeze Murder Retrial — WI v. Mark Jensen — Day 15

Verdict: Antifreeze Murder Retrial — WI v. Mark Jensen — Day 15

Mark Jensen was charged in 2002 for the 1998 death of his wife Julie Jensen and convicted in 2008. Prosecutors say he poisoned his wife with antifreeze and then smothered her with a pillow when she wasn’t dying fast enough. In 2013 a federal judge overturned that life sentence, arguing a letter Julie had written before her death shouldn’t have been admitted as evidence. In that letter, Julie wrote that she was afraid her husband would try and kill her. Jensen will now face trial for a second time in January 2023.

Reminder: The defendant, Mark Jensen, is wearing headphones because he’s hard of hearing. Thanks.

  1. Seriously, the defense asked the judge to vacate the jury's verdict. I don't even know why we had a trial, it was so clear-cut that he murdered his wife.

  2. Justice for julie AGAIN!!! Thank you to all the jurors!!!!❤❤❤ And of course Mr Jambois and the rest of the prosecution team, you were all amazing ❤❤❤❤

  3. I wonder if the sins still believe that their father is innocent. If so, I find that very sad. I can’t imagine how much that would hurt Julie if she were still here to know that…

  4. In my opinion he looked like a creepy perv throughout the entire trial, but ever since the jury was handed the case he's looking at everyone and plotting their demise.

  5. 2 males failed you twice Julie; one was your husband and another one a so call judge, who determined that your letter shouldn't have been admitted as evidence . Happy that the jurors got it right. Mark resemble Thomas Capano who murdered Anne Fahey and also was found guilty. Some males did everything to keep Tom out of prison and covering up his murder.

  6. Ms ombre hair can send him commissary money for the rest of his life. Welp, he hasn't aged or wrinkled much, since being locked up. Look as though prison is treating him good. Probably got a wife in there too.

  7. Amazing how chummy the defense attorneys are with that murderer. The prosecuting attorney isn't having it. Nothing to be chummy about, nothing to be smiling about.

  8. I have followed this case since the murder first occurred. The letter Julie wrote .saying that if she was killed, her husband is responsible, didn't matter. There was so much evidence proving that Mark Jensen did the horrible deed, I believe no other verdict could be reached. Good job to the prosecution and especially the jury. Mark, no more flirting with your defense attorney!

  9. Well done jury! I feel bad for the family members that are left to deal with the crimes of their trusted son, father, brother, son in law and brother in law. He had choices. He chose the worst option. Enjoy your stay in prison Mark Jenson.
