A Florida man was arrested for allegedly traveling to meet a child for sex in September 2022. The Cape Coral Police Department said officers worked with suspect Regan Beresford’s former neighbors, who claimed Beresford allegedly sent their child inappropriate messages two months prior, to arrest the 52-year-old man. Legendary investigative reporter and former host of “To Catch a Predator†Chris Hansen called the sting operation rare because the suspect knew the victim personally. Everyone's a hero, from Mom to cops, but let's give a huge shout-out of support and <3 to the young girl who did the right thing. As her (very smart sounding) Mom said, she didn't want him to go after ANY kid, and it's because of her daughter that this toxic waste dump at LEAST gets eyes on him, and his name in registries. That took guts, the kind that's rare to find in young people, girls AND boys who get stuck in these awful traps online.
Stay defiant and stay YOUNG, kids. You'll have plenty of time to be older, later.
Does Chris hanson have no shame. He sees something on tv and claims to have some part in the investigation, when in fact it has nothing to do with him at all. FORSHAME TO HIM.
I’ve had God knows how many hours of training on how to recognize when an adult is trying to molest children. I volunteer at church in security and other areas of the church. And I have to have training courses on this and have to renew my background check and my training certification every 2 years. Now the reason I said all this for this reason. I’ve had to hear testimony about this stuff and it’s sick and disturbing. As a father if someone like this tried to get one of my kids well, let’s just say I would gladly take the ride to jail when I’m done. I will say this, as parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and so forth need to be watchful for our children’s safety.

How is this rare? There are so many cases of cousins, parents, aunties, uncles, etc committing these acts. People that the victim know or are even close to.
