The son of Alex Murdaugh’s former housekeeper, Gloria Satterfield, testified outside the presence of the jury that the disgraced lawyer stole millions of dollars in settlement money from his family. “No,†Tony Satterfield repeated over and over again as the prosecutor asked him if Murdaugh paid him any money related to his mother’s wrongful death case. A South Carolina judge would later approve a $4.3m judgment against Murdaugh’s estate based on a confession made by the disbarred lawyer.
