  1. I'm appalled at the way the prosecuting attorney picked up that raincoat tossing it around the courtroom. The witness said it's got chemicals on it be careful he didn't even put gloves on and then he started shaking it right in front of the jury. He should be reprimanded for this behavior. He put many people in danger by doing what he did. What a fool

  2. Always remember, Alex Murtaugh was in a position in his career to have a VAST knowledge of police procedure, forensics, and investigatory techniques.

  3. Geez, wonder why Alex would intentionally lay the tarp out on his mother’s chair other than to be sure the caregiver would have seen it there. Alex tried throwing people off track by producing the tarp so a raincoat would not be brought up in conversation. He knew Ms. Smith would mention a tarp because that’s what she saw.

  4. This courtroom is such a circus.. the prosecution hacking away in the mic… I can’t get over the silliness of these proceedings.

  5. Lmao your honor it would totally hurt my case if you admitted this evidence so I’m going to strongly suggest you don’t. This lawyer is worth every penny 😂

  6. It was a pretty big rain jacket , Alex was bigger than his dad, before he went to jail, like taller broader and heavier , would this jacket have been like way way too big for Alex dad?

  7. Honestly: Defense suggesting to look at the testimony and the prosecutors continuing to argue their point tells me the prosecutors are stretching. Especially that last line of trying to prove the connection, which tells me he knows that the witness testimony can't be stood on its own.

  8. AM has stolen enough money from innocent people, so he can afford to have the best defense to get him off a double murder he actually committed.

  9. Not only does he have murder charges being pressed against him. He also has money laundering, and embezzlement charges not to mention probably tax evasion coming his way. Maybe even grand larceny as well. This whole family is a bunch of criminals. Karma finally caught up to them all.

  10. Sorry, but with no witness connection between him and that jacket – the Prosecution's implication is literally the definition of prejudicial. The jacket evidence should be terminated by this judge. Prosecutors cannot just infer ownership of that jacket and use that mere inference alone to claim a sufficient "chain of evidentiary value." Especially when their own witnesses testimony on the crux of the matter was "I don't know." That's NOT a chain of evidence. A balled up tarp abd balled up raincoat look EXTREMELY DIFFERENT. It isn't even reasonable to believe that one would mistake one for the other.

If our Judicial System works as it constantly claims it does this jacket should be thrown out of the trial
