Alex Murdaugh’s Slain Wife’s Fingernails Reveal Unknown Male DNA

A DNA analyst took the stand in Alex Murdaugh’s family murder trial Monday and testified about the results of the forensic evaluation she performed on the disgraced lawyer’s slain wife and son. Sara Zapata stated she found unknown male DNA under Maggie Murdaugh’s fingernails, which the defense believes supports their theory of two shooters. The Law&Crime Daily team has the latest on this twisted family murder case.

  1. 4:40 "Brian you lost me at I have Bob's DNA all over my hand…." Very funny~! That aside, the defense should have used that evidence heavily. Didn't listen to the entire 'summary' at the end, but I'd be all over that for reasonable doubt if I were Alex's lawyer. I bet Alex sits in jail wondering still….whose it was and why it was there. It is still so terribly hard to fathom a believable reason as to a motive for his killing of them. I probably said that wrong but you know what I mean. All the reasons given so far make so little sense. You know the very first article that came out in NY, same day of, stated that Maggie and Paul went to view a property they (Murdaughs) had recently purchased to check it out. Odd, huh~?

  2. Sled didn't investigate the fingernail DNA far enough to find out who s it was but they did know it wasn't Alex's,so why weren't they looking for someone else, just in case

  3. Expert evidence to the fact that the shooter was shorter than Alex and now, an unknown man's DNA under her fingernails cast doubt as to whether Alex executed the murders or someone else? It's known that some people lie for no reason – therefore, to convict a man simply because he changes his story from time to time is not evidencially sufficient. Those are two strong grounds of appeal – that the trial court did not properly evaluate the two forms of expert evidence considering the circumstances of the case.

  4. Lots more people going to jail. No one knows what’s going on yet. FBI will get it all figured out soon. Alex has been found guilty. Lot more coming and don’t be surprised if Alex charges are reversed

  5. Alec Murdaugh needs to appeal, if unknown DNA had really been found under her fingernails it is more physical proof of Alec not being the murderer as ALL of the "so called" evidence they have presented has been highly circumstantial in an intent to say he murdered to cover up his stealing, which it wouldn't and only would add to irrational behavior, at best! This whole scam about the motive being his embezzlement of corporate funds is not a motive to kill one's family? Killing one's family would shine a spotlight on any other crime committed. People are so easily brainwashed, listen to the people being led by the Pied Piper just like "the liars" in the media and the B Gates of the Earth have played the flute for such a large percent of the population to sign up, pull up their sleeves for the jibberjab as the sheep bragged about doing it on FakeBook and on other "life/lie affirming" platforms.

  6. The tools used at the hair salon might have not had clean tools, so I could see how she got a males dna under fingernails ( since males do get manicures also). Or since she was well know in town, perhaps she shook hands with a male friend.

  7. Been watching this they gonna fry the wrong guy he might be lot of other things but my gut tells me he didn't kill his wife and son .cops flawed this case all up .no way either he used two different guns then had enough time to get rid of guns they should have found them guns by now invesgators screwed this case all up cops need to pin someone so they pin the dad .two shooters two .they knew were them guns were at property so called friends of Paul guarantee it are they set it up to frame dad

  8. Hearing how you murdered your loved ones esp. your son whom you brought to this world Alex Murdough should just admit his crime as contrition for killing them. I pray to God that his conscience be clean by admitting and end this trial. If some people are helping him to prove otherwise, that is , his defense team

  9. This family had been playing games esp Alex &his drugs, the family having power over decades.
We may all hate the Murdaughs, but none, not one not a single employee said that they were ill treated. I dont think Alex killed his family,
its a plot to take back, for revenge, against all the Murdaughs, as they do have so many enemies over years.
    Games maybe over for Murdaughs
but Alex, a licensed attorney ? Leaving behind forensic trails as a murderer ?
No, definitely not, but his drug buisness coupled with greed probably caught him now, with no GrandDaddy around to slide him through, which is interesting to watch.

  10. LOL. The same prosecution that uses DNA under fingernails to convict people of murder expects us to trust them when they now try to mitigate that evidence and their blatant disregard for its value because… it’s inconvenient to their narrative?
