  1. I have a foster sister who’s 16 but developmental delayed and she’s more like a 12 – 10 year old. The thought of something like this happening to her makes my skin crawl

  2. I've watched a lot of interviews with people who have lost everything to catfishers. Most people who fall for romance scams online don't mvrder people because most catfishers only ask for money, but it fits the same profile. They'll do ANYTHING to escape their circumstances. They let go of all sense of logic and reason and also isolate themselves because they know people with sense will try to snap them out of it. The desperation is the key. Here comes someone promising them a happily ever after and they hold onto that hope like a life raft.

  3. Why is Brehmer pleading guilty? She could put it on being seduced by this online guy because clearly she's very young as well, and he manipulated her. There never was any money: she was not doing it for money, she was doing it for her supposed boyfriend and his promise of money, showing how much she was under his influence. She must've been very gullible. Is she autistic perhaps and therefore taking everything literally, having a one track mind, focused on a task as opposed to realizing for herself what she is doing?
