Alex Murdaugh’s eldest son Buster testified that his late brother, Paul, was bullied by locals after the boat crash that killed Mallory Beach happened in February 2019. Nineteen-year-old Beach, a friend of Paul’s, died in the accident after the driver, alleged to be Paul, crashed. Buster Murdaugh said his mother took the negativity hard, going as far as shopping in a neighboring town to avoid criticism.

Seems to me Buster should have had consequences for giving his underage brother his ID. Paul should have at the very least been arrested for driving a boat while drunk that very night. I have to wonder how his trial would have gone had he lived. Would he have been found guilty? Regardless of how open and shut this case would have been, I can’t help but wonder if the Murdaughs would have come out of this smelling like roses.
