I used to work in Law Enforcement in the jail and courts, and as a court clerk. The good thing here is that it's very hard to prove domestic violence. There's a decent chance that the charges against her get dismissed.

Nothing about her behavior suggest guilt. And it's hard to tell, but I don't see any harm to her hands, with usually occurs when you hit someone.

Yeah, she might not get convicted of it, but it still shows up on her record. Its really stupid how they leave charges on your background when you're PROVEN NOT GUILTY in a "court of law". I can't even chauffeur on my child's field trips bc of a NOT GUILTY charge on my background. Same goes with applying for a job. They see the charge, and really don't care that its not guilty
I think the officer was wrong about her needing a court order regarding custody. If a couple isn’t married, the mother has full custody.
