26. Wow. Thanks for telling the story. Cause I heard about this but didn’t get all the info. Unfortunately, we hear so much about gun violence that desensitization is inevitable. And not to say that any life is more valuable than another, but it gets more and more difficult to hear the news when the gun shots hit innocent victims: civilians, children, outstanding members of the community etc. Much like this young man.

    I feel like if you’re remotely involved in your child’s life, you know when they are capable and probable of committing violent crime. Add it to the argument of responsibility of the family.

    Also, temple area is no joke… well some places around temple. And I could see how these young, naive college age adults (especially those not from Philly) would be an easy target, as far as the car jacking stuff.

    Watching his wife speak on him – heart retching. Watching his son exhale a deep painful breath while walking next to his mom towards the stage gives a small glimpse into the aftermath of gun violence.

    I always worry and pray for protection for my sons’ father, who is absolutely not in the mix, puts his head down and works, to be safe from loose bullets and the criminal justice system.
