Newly released security camera footage shows a 28-year-old murder suspect in Oregon escaping from the courthouse moments after his hands and legs were unshackled. Eli Villalobos was preparing to stand trial on multiple felony charges, including second-degree murder in the 2021 fatal stabbing of 33-year-old Artemio Guzman-Olvera. After a two-hour manhunt, Villalobos was found hiding under a blanket in a closet of an apartment after a caller reported seeing a man trying to break in a neighboring unit. Villalobos was taken into custody and later indicted on two additional counts of first-degree burglary and one count of second-degree escape.
