Bryan Walsh and James Craig appeared to be 40 to 50 years old and perhaps could be excused for being a bit computer illiterate and therefore would have been unaware of the fact that cops can access the searches you have made online but Chandler Halderson was only 23 years old. He was young enough that he should have been completely computer savvy and should have known that his searches would have been easy for cops to find. I'm an old woman, dinosaurs were roaming the planet when I was a kid, and even I am aware that everything that goes on my computer is still there even if I delete it and if someone as old as I am knows that, I am at a total loss as to why on earth Chandler didn't know how incriminating his searches for "dismembered bodies found" would be. I guess he's just not the sharpest knife in the drawer!

20. We all search weird stuff at times, but yes the context is key here. Timing in particular can paint a very clear picture.

22. Our world is a wash of technology, smartphones, GPS and tracking , internet , cameras and now smart appliances and automobiles. It's virtually impossible to escape digital footprints.

    To put it into some context, The Apple Air Tag tracking system would not work if it wasn't for the fact the world is saturated in iPhone and other Apple devices. The air tags communicate to any nearby Apple devices that have access to the internet and they in turn report the air tag ID and position to the cloud. So if an Air tag goes into an area where people don't own iPhones…well it wont be able to update it's location. Its crazy to think that a product only works because of it's massive popularity.
