A deadly shooting is under investigation after New Mexico officers shot and killed 52-year-old Robert Dotson when responding to the wrong address. Imagine that another innocent person killed by cops and then the cops investigate themselves and find they did nothing wrong. Meanwhile the innocent person is still dead and the family has to suffer while the criminal cops sit back and smile

If you find yourself in this kind of situation or a similar situation where you're unaware if it's the police or not and they're announcing themselves as police officer don't open the door definitely don't open the door when you have a gun in your hand just to verify if the police or not stop take a deep breath relocate yourself and the ones that are with you in the house into the bathroom putting a loved ones in the bathtub to lay down will you call 911 to verify if there's police officers at your door. Be smart be safe ticket for me I've been there I've done it God be with you all

nothing to see here, they were scared for their lives, they saw a gun, shoot first then they will be cleared if not they will plead qualified immunity end of story. When will they be held accountable, how many citizens must die before they loose qualified immunity? Until then nothing will change since they don't have to worry about answering to anyone. What did the officer do before qualified immunity, they took time to analyze the situation, take cover and see what the situation requires. You always don't shoot first and later find out what happened.

They might call it tragic but they will still find excuses and deny liability. Also you will never hear: "I am sorry" or "We did a mistake". Instead they use neutral terms like: "This was a tragedy".
