My theory for this:
Michael and Jennifer argued and it turned violent (probably due to alcohol consumption all day). The fight lasted awhile and Jennifer probably texted or called the dad & brother who just happen to be on the same property because of the vineyard. I believe the dad & brother didn't kill Michael, instead they sent over migrant workers that worked for them. I believe this because all Michael's belongings we're gone. I don't think the family would've cared to take his things but a migrant worker making minimum wage would've cleaned him out after the murder right down to his last cigarette. Not only does Jennifer know but her entire family knows (it was very easy to see during the interview with them). All their answers were rehearsed but typical of their ethnicity they became very standoff-ish and somewhat argumentative like we all must be completely crazy to think they could have anything to do with this. CHP detectives need to speak with all the vineyard employees, they will eventually find someone unhappy with their employers and will be willing to share what they've heard through the grapevine (no pun intended) .
