Nothing is ever being said about Kevin Franke feeling remorse and regret that he has abandoned his kids for over a year – no, he only did what he was told, to save his marriage, poor guy. Nothing is being said about his past abu*ive actions during his years on 8 Passengers – no, Kevin is praised as a perfect, wonderful, loving dad. Nothing is being explained about his inhumane beliefs that "children should NOT be loved unconditionally" and that "his role as a father is NOT to make his kids' childhood happy, magical and carefree," as he proudly publicly declared during his 8 Passengers years – no, those words and actions are now forgotten, and today he is simply presented as the best dad in the universe.
    Nothing is being said about his taking at least some responsibility for what he did and omitted to do – no, it was all Jodi's fault, he is completely innocent. Nothing is being said about Kevin being a highly educated professor at the BYU and educating people his entire life – no, he is now just a simple, totally naïve, trusting man bamboozled by an evil, evil woman. Nothing is being said about his current beliefs and plans – no, we are only told that Kevin is a victim too. And, the most TERRIFYING of all, nothing is being said about him planing to protect his children, to help them heal, to guarantee and provide genuine, continuous therapy for them or just simply to LOVE them – no, notice how Kester only repeats that Kevin Franke wants his kids back "to GUIDE them." Guide them where exactly? Those children have had MORE than enough of his and Ruby's fanatical LDS guidance! The children now need to be as far away from Kevin Franke and his outdated, inhumane, patriarchal, dictatorial parenting as possible! They need to be with sane, normal, compassionate people, they need to be loved unconditionally and hugged a thousand times every day. They need to be told that they are perfect the way they are, that they are innocent and precious. They need to have tons of fresh, nourishing food and drink, to play in the sun with other kids and to cuddle with pets. They need to go to proper school, to make friends and to have a proper education. They need to have proper therapy and all support that they need to forget their horrible parents and their horrible teachings. The Franke kids do not need to be guided by their disgusting, neglectful father any more, they need real love from real people.
    And isn't ANYONE going to confront this lawyer about the stuff he is saying? Or is he just going to keep repeating these "Kevin Franke is an angel" lies without anyone ever asking him some REAL questions?

22. Never watched 8 passengers. I did hear Jessi's story on Mormon Stories. There is a lot to unpack in this situation. Jessi's story is heartbreaking.

27. No, that's b.s. it's not right for attorneys to lie, it's a disgrace. Franke created her channel & in relation to the number of her subscribers she became more & more comfortable with openly demonstrating her insidiously harmful "mothering." Each new subscriber & each additional view were affirmations to her, to take it further & further toward her children's spiritual destruction & clearly their physical destruction as well. Her alliance with Hildebrandt proffered all the more approval to each woman for their evil. As a combined force, under the veil of religious righteousness, their trajectory in regards to the children was suddenly revealed to the public. The two women's prey was snatched away from them. The children have been saved.
