In March 2002, a state TV station in China was hijacked by members of outlawed spiritual group Falun Gong. Their goal was to counter the government narrative about their practice.
In the aftermath, police raids sweep Changchun City, and comic book illustrator Daxiong (Justice League, Star Wars), a Falun Gong practitioner, is forced to flee. He arrives in North America, blaming the hijacking for worsening a violent repression. But his views are challenged when he meets the lone surviving participant to have escaped China, now living in Seoul, South Korea.

It’s quite sad that in this day-and-age someone still has the ability to ensnare another with religious-spiritual-political mumbo-jumbo, especially if that “leader†is able to force his adherents to not seek medical help, to stop taking life-saving medication/treatment, to isolate oneself from all loved ones and friends, to stop eating, to torture oneself with instruments to artificially increase suffering, and on and on.
It’s only when a person will stop looking for Messiah’s and start looking for the Creator within…only then will religions be finally abandoned.
We are divine, immortal sparks of the One Infinite Creator. All we have to do is to remember who we are and what we are not. Listen to the small, quiet voice in our conscious mind and connect it with our inborn intuition.
No one has to be told what to do, only: first do no harm and love others as you love yourself.
