  1. 15 years for second degree murder is quite a light sentence, his confession helped him greatly. And yea, when you plead not guilty to first degree murder, it means you're literally pleading not guilty to the exact charge which includes the degree as well, it doesn't mean you don't think you committed murder at all. He could be saying "I may have committed murder, but I don't believe there was any premeditation or aggravating factors so I'm innocent of 1st degree murder".

  2. This reminds me of Crime and Punishment and what Raskolnikov went through after killing the pawnbroker. It's a horrible crime, no doubt, and he deserves to do his time, but i also cant imagine what it would be like to live with that kind of psychological torment for 15 years. Thats it's own kind of punshiment. For someone with a conscience, it would drive you to complete insanity

  3. The amount of comments I see of people who do not believe in change is staggering. So quick to lable people as sociopaths, not knowing even remotely what that word means. 15 years can change someone so fundamentally that they are unidentifiable from the person they were. That harmful belief that change is impossible is why our prison systems are failing, why crime is such and issue, and why so much hate and vitriol is commonplace amongst Americans. Just because you might not have changed in 15 years because you refuse to be a better person, doesn't mean others can't.

  4. 😮 Just goes to show you never really get away with anything ! This man’s conscience and homelessness was bugging him so bad he admitted to a murder he had gotten away with that’s crazy !

  5. Whatever happened to "cadaver" dogs? The ONLY reason this guy confessed is to get McDonalds. He confessed only because he was hungry! He wanted to confess JUST for Mcdonalds food!

  6. If I ever get arrested for something, I want McDonalds too. 2quarter pounders with swiss cheese, large fries , 12 piece chicken nuggets. And honey mustard dipping sauce. PLUS, cigarettes. Oh and I would also want carrot cake! And THEN I will talk! LOL!

  7. This guy says he thinks about what he did every day, but somehow he doesn't remember any of the details except that the body was buried in a shed?

That should have stood out to someone. That's sketchy.
