A long-serving border agent who prosecutors say confessed to murdering four South Texas women faces life in prison. His targets during an admitted serial-killing spree that terrorized the region were all said to be sex workers who were likely chosen due to their extremely vulnerable and almost-hidden status in society, according to authorities in Laredo.
Juan David Ortiz is a 9-year veteran of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and now-former supervisor with the law enforcement agency. Over the course of just two weeks, Ortiz allegedly shot his four female victims in the head and discarded their bodies alongside lonely rural patches of Interstate 35 in Webb County, Texas.

The brother of Ms Cantu truly broke my heart, he lost all his family to murder, committed murder himself, but learned & was given forgiveness & has empathy & compassion by all he has went through & forgave this oh so selfish jerk that stared right at them instead of looking down, which to him would look like regret & remorse & he STILL has NONE! Only time he looked down is when he cried with his wife & kids, I think that was for himself too. Just truly unbelievable how this pos is. I don’t think the meds did this to him, maybe the mix with meds but I think he started getting with prostitutes & then somehow was disgusted & truly figured as a BP agent, vet & educated, he wouldn’t be caught, or no one would miss these women, he didn’t care at all. Refused to say anything to the families, wow. Truly the right thing is him being away for life. As these families said, hope they find peace through God. 🙏❤️

Most of the time the defense attorneys just want to win the trials no matter what the cases are about and who were the victims!!!!it s a competition for them!but prosecutors are really sincerely fighting for justice for the victims and their families!prosecutor Alaniz and his team are so sincere so human and humble…they want to sent all those monsters in jail and never be able to see the light of the sky again!
His attorney shows no compassion for the victims families during their statements!he is so indifferent!he is only thinking about the fact that a he has lost the trial!
