The film is a troubling examination of what happens to soldiers when they come back from active service only to discover that their experiences have left them psychologically scarred. It is an unflinching look at the nature of post-traumatic stress disorder, and at the shocking culture of neglect that allows these young men’s suffering to go undiagnosed and ignored.
