Grandview police released dashcam video of a rollover crash on Sunday near Missouri 150 and Interstate 49. Police said the officer tried to pull over a driver for a suspected traffic violation near Missouri 150 and the East Outer Road. Authorities said the driver refused to stop for the officer and lost control of the SUV, flipping it over at 12:35 p.m.

Police said the driver was thrown clear of the vehicle, and the video shows the officer rushing to the vehicle, searching for the driver.

“Do you see anybody?” the officer shouts to another person.

The driver was found a few moments later in a ditch. Police said the officer started chest compressions on the man and tried to keep him calm until paramedics arrived.

A nurse and her husband who witnessed the crash, also stopped and provided aid.

  1. From the description " Police said the officer started chest compressions on the man and tried to keep him calm until paramedics arrived."
Why would he do chest compressions on a conscious person? Don't they teach people what chest compressions are for and when to use them? Or is the description (hopefully) just wrong?

  2. “He’s having trouble breathing, I’m going to start cracking a few ribs, maybe that’ll help!”

  3. That person on the right side must have been in the car one minute there was noone there the next the car roll and he pops up. Noone noticed him. he is still there waiting I think when they have gone.

  4. That guy on the right side of the road had to have been thrown out of the car he was getting up off the ground when the cop was looking for the other guy he wasn't there before the crash

  5. I have very little pity for people who run from the cops and then endanger other drivers with a crash like that.

  6. I've heard on boneheads letting a hyped up muscle car get away from them when they don't know how to drive, but you you realize this idiot didn't even make it 27 seconds? Look at the timer on the upper left screen. He bumps the siren at the 30 second mark exact and at 57 seconds the guy, totally on his own and while driving on a near straight road, is fishtailing and going for a tumble down the highway. Come-on! how bad of a driver do you have to be to loose it that fast?

  7. The nurse was the hero. The cop told her to leave. She can’t. Nurses can’t abandon their patients. She would be going against her training if she listened to the cop.
