With the brand name “Asp” being the almost exclusively used word to describe the extendable police baton it would surely surprise some people to learn that the flagship of the Asp brand, the friction lock extendable baton, is not the best choice for heavy use. The Monadnock Autolock baton, our subject here, is one of several better choices for extendable batons. While the price is slightly more, the Monadnock has a few advantages that make it both more durable and safer than the namesake Asp.
ESP Baton tells monadok, Smith and Wesson and ASP hey hold my beer
I own a esp baton that is hardened steel watch reviews on it asp and this brand along with Smith and Wesson are made in China or Taiwan I watched a video the guy beats a brick with the asp it breaks after 2 hits the other 2 get 6 hits before they break the esp destroyed the brick they are less than 80 dollars like 86 with shipping
I never heard so much BS in 7:20 minutes in my life!
Has anyone on here actually use there baton to beat someone?
Asp makes auto locks with a button as well and you can open them by just pulling the tip. It’s called The Talon
Mu-nod-nock
Esp is better
Camlock baton for the win
Good video. FYI it's pronounced Ma-nad-knock
Most agencies opt for a nylon/polymer tip with metal underneath for weight
Does the monadnock rattle bad when fully extended?
Does the tip unscrew like ASP?
I have 2 of these and they are the best so far. During training, we have broken 4 other brands on a number of items including other batons, bamboo, and baseball bats. The only thing we can break on this brand of baton is the threaded tip. This one is beter than my brothers tallon ASP, it froze up on us during a cold utah night, about 24 degrees. I have total faith that this one will never break. We have tried. His review is 100% corect. I called the company to ask about the slight wobble, i was informed that it was designed that way to guarantee expansion and closure. Im so glad i dont have to use a center block to close my baton during class anymore.
Hi.
Do you happen to know the closed length of the version you have?
Thanks.
Jamie.
the RCB peacekeeper will serve you better. I can guarantee
I have replaced 3 Monadnock batons so far in less then a few months. The first time, I drew it and it was bent, so I returned it and received my 2nd one and the stock rode inside snapped and the baton was stuck open. 3rd one same thing happened but I bought a Hindi cap and the Hindi cap snapped. I'm seriously gonna switch to ASP but the problem is, in this city the majority of Security and police carry Monadnock and I don't know where to go and purchase an ASP.
Asp also has a autolock called the Talon fyi
Fuck them! They don't want to be cut w the end of a baton, don't break the fucking law! Says me!
Peace Maker is #1…Monadnock #2…ASP #3
i dont live to far from monadnoc factory cool stuff my old friend by them is the pr 24
What type of grip does your baton have? I'm getting one tomorrow and I want to know if the super grip baton will fit on an asp holder
Terrible placement for your baton. You never want to put a deadly weapon on your blindside.
might work once or twice? Are you bashing robots on a regular basis? I can whack my $16 chinese cheapo against something as hard as I can and the only thing damaged is my hand.
Very useful info….Thanks……PAPA DUKES
im more of a side handled Nightstick fan. i just find them more powerful and reliable however running with it is a pain.
i might agree but…. compare it with a asp talon.?
Interesting video. Out of curiosity (and this may sound like a really naive question!), how do you oil these? I hear the 'autolocks' need oiling every so often, but never seen it done.
what is the model # and where can i get this baton and the rotating holster?
